Google Home and Pacific Domes - The Dream Becomes Real

George Carlin famously joked, “it's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it."   So, with a dose of iconic television and inspiration from emerging technologies, we can at least nap and catch a glimpse of a not-so-distant future… the American dream home.

In the near future, we will communicate directly with our technology, blending seamlessly with the décor and our everyday lives.

Like the forward thinking technical development of Google, our Geodesic Dome Homes are highly engineered for durability, functionality, and stunning visual impact!

Lacking in corners, Geodesic domes are the shape of the future, and perfectly suited for the 'advanced age.'

Google's latest product release, the futuristic Google Home, converges technology and connectivity with nearly all home electronics, allowing for voice activation of lights, temperature, car, television, and, of course, music.

The petite dome-shaped device comes in a variety of colors so as to appear perfectly suited wherever placed.

Google Home merges its most popular apps, including Google Maps, Google Photos and Google Calendar. A humanized, conversational interface, "OK Google" or “Google Now,” delivers results based on context.  In other words, it learns and adapts to each user.  Using highly sophisticated algorithms, it can voice identify the user, predict and respond intelligently according that specific user's online activity.

As Pacific Domes has taken the geodesic dome into the age of virtual reality with our virtual gaming environment and Pacific Domes VR domes, Google is improving mobile device technology with its Android–N, containing a virtual reality platform,

Daydream, that is able to run existing VR applications, providing a curated home screen from which to launch.

In addition, Google has created VR versions of its own applications like YouTube, Street View, the Google Play Store, Play Movies, and Google Photos.

Daydream-ready phones, expected to be available this fall, will integrate with Google Home device, and convert to play on the television screen when directed.  There are VR goggles in the works for the gamers in the household.

Like the famous Star-Trek holodeck, Daydream expands the home environment to provide a vibrant interactive universe, full of possibility.

According to Venture Beat, “you get the feeling that for Google, Daydream is less of an experiment or a novelty and more of a platform that people can use for a long time to come.”
